We aim to reduce neonatal morbidity and mortality. To achieve these goals, we will push the boundaries of discovery, aim to transform neonatal health care, advance education, and engage the society in our mission. To identify fetal/developmental origins of neonatal illness and various short-/medium-term outcomes, we will focus on the period between conception to 1000 days after birth. And hence, the GNS needs leaders from all fields, be it maternal and reproductive health, child health, public health services, opinion-building, and societal support. We all know that every baby counts! It's time that all of us get together to bring a change!

We aim to grow a global mass movement, one that is not limited to healthcare. To bring a real change, we will unite beyond age, gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity, color, education, religion, and socioeconomic status.

We aim to stay goal-oriented and focused, with an understanding that some flexibility will be needed as we learn. We know that each time we lose an infant, we lose an entire life and all its potential. Our logo, a human-centered, conceptual/editorial illustration, is an attempt to express our philosophy - we have been polishing, reading, and then re-polishing it to share our thinking with you.
